At Pure Piercing we try to be flexible where possible but believe that piercing should only be performed with informed consent.
Anybody below the age of 18 must have consent from a parent/legal guardian. Under 16’s will require a parent/guardian present at the appointment. Parents/guardians will need to present valid photo ID upon giving consent.
Under 18’s require written consent from a parent/legal guardian. This should include the guardians name, email and signature, along with a copy of their valid photo ID (this can be a clear photograph, rather than the physical copy).
Ear Lobe Piercings: 8 years+
We can be a little flexible with the age limit for children that show maturity and understanding
early. We require a child to be Gillick competent and able to consent to the piercing. It is
important for parents to know, if the child changes their mind at any point, we will not
continue with the service as we no longer have their consent. If we pierce one ear and the
child then changes their mind, we cannot go ahead with the other. We find it helps prepare
children by letting them know it will hurt a little but will be over quickly.
Ear Cartilage Piercings: 14 years+ (can be flexible with a parent present)
Facial Piercings: (not including lips): 14 years+
Navel Piercings: 14 years+
Lip Piercings: 16 years+ with valid photo ID ONLY
Oral Piercings: 16 years+ with valid photo ID ONLY
Dermal & Surface Piercings: 16 years+ with valid photo ID ONLY
Nipple Piercings: 18 years+ with valid photo ID ONLY

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Pure Piercing website and your purchase of services from any Pure Piercing studio location. By booking an appointment, visiting our studios, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Pure Piercing operates in accordance with UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Data Protection Act 2018, and UK health and safety regulations.
Pure Piercing specialises exclusively in professional body piercing services. We are committed to delivering safe, hygienic, and professional piercing experiences across our UK studio locations. All piercings are carried out by trained professionals using implant-grade titanium or 14ct gold jewellery in line with industry best practice.
Piercing services are subject to strict age policies.
We reserve the right to refuse service where valid identification or consent cannot be provided. All clients must be capable of giving informed consent. We will not perform piercings on anyone who appears intoxicated or otherwise unable to consent.
Appointments may be made online or in person, subject to availability. Walk-ins may be accommodated where possible but are not guaranteed. Booking confirmations and reminders may be sent via email and/or SMS through our booking system provider (e.g., Setmore).
We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time. However, confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed price.
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 12 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made within this timeframe will receive a full refund.
